Charles A. Moody

On February 8th 2026 Charles A. Moody born January 4th 1942 in Urbana, Illinois to Charles Aaron Moody and Mary Marie Moody, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. 

On January 28th 1962, he married Sharlyn Sue Moody. Together they had three children, Charles Jack WIlliam Moody, Denise Lavon Moody, and Mark Aaron Moody. Charles worked 32 years at the University of Illinois and happily retired on December 31st 1998. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, doing yard work, collecting flashlights and knives, and watching western movies. 

Charles is survived by his wife Sharlyn, daughter Denise, son Mark and his wife Dawn, his three grandchildren Charles "CJ" and his wife Jennifer, Kyle, and Emma, and his great granddaughter Makenzie. 

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Marie Moody and his son Charles Jack William Moody. 

There will be no services held at this time, but his family will hold a celebration of life in the spring.
